Today in class, we went over the rest of the questions (5-7) in the yellow booklet on page 13. We also did a Flame Test lab. It was awesome, except for the smell of burning wood. We got to see what colors metallic ions give off in a flame.

For example: Sodium Chloride gives off a orange-yellow flame.
Barium Chloride gives off a green flame.

We were given a worksheet to complete for Tuesday and we were supposed to read pages 14-18 and do the questions on page 19.

The scribe will be Arielle.

Thanks, Jocelyn. Remember it is the metallic ions in solution that give off their characteristic colour.
